Speech by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, during the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly
STATEMENT BY H.E. Mr. BRUNO RODRÍGUEZ PARRILLA, MINISTER OF
FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF CUBA, AT THE SEVENTY SECOND SESSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY. NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 22, 2017.
Mr. President:
Mr. Secretary General;
Allow me to reiterate to you Cuba's, support to your work at the helm of the United Nations and as a guarantor and advocate of international peace.
New York, September 22, 2017. "Cuba will never accept any imposition nor will it ever renounce any of its principles," reaffirmed Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, in response to the disrespectful, offensive and interventionist statement against Cuba and the Cuban government made three days ago by President Donald Trump.
The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, attended the tribute in honor of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, organized by a group of Ghanaian political parties and social and political organizations at the National Theater in Accra. The Dr. Nkrumah is considered by the history of Ghana as the father of the independence.
In the spirit of continuing improving and modernizing services, the Consular Section of the Embassy of Cuba in Austria wishes to inform all its customers that from: Monday, 2 October 2017 payments of offered consular services and procedures should be performed by using:
· Bancomat, VISA, Mastercard, V Pay, Maestro payment cards and cards issued by European banks.
During 2015 and 2016, the government of the then President of the United States, Barack Obama, put in place some measures aimed at modifying the application of certain elements of the blockade to Cuba, which had as a scene the reestablishment of the diplomatic relations between both countries.
However, significant obstacles to its implementation have persisted and key aspects of the blockade have been maintained, as well as the laws on which this policy is based.
