The Honorable Senator Maxine McClean, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados, led the delegation of her country to the Seventh Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), which was also composed of the Permanent Secretary, Cecile Humphrey, the Ambassador to CARICOM, Robert Morris, and the officer Unit Caribbean - CARICOM, Corey Archer, who in turn had an active participation in the discussion of the documents during the Senior Officials Meeting, held on June 2nd.

Representatives of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba accompanied the delegation ICAP visiting Barbados to lay a wreath at the monument erected in Payne Bay to victims of terrorist sabotage perpetrated on Barbadian shores on October 6, 1976 by the counterrevolutionary Cuban American mafia trained by the CIA.

The President of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW), Akanni Mcdowall, the First Vice President, Joy-Ann Inniss, and Treasurer Secretary, Asokore Beckles, received at its headquarters to the high-level delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the (ICAP) who visited Barbados between 26 and 30 May 2016 composed by his First Vice President Elio Gamez and the director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Robert Hamilton, accompanied by Cuban Ambassador Francisco Fernández.

The President of the Association of Friendship Barbados-Cuba, David Denny. led a meeting held during a working lunch offered at the Pom-Marine Hotel to the delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) who visited Barbados from 26 and May 30, 2016 composed by his First Vice President Elio Gamez and the director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Robert Hamilton.

The strength and scope of the ties between Cuba and Africa were recalled in Ghana by the Cuban Embassy and attended by several generations of Ghanaian graduates in Cuba, members of the solidarity movement with the Caribbean island and the Cuban residents in the country.

Cuba's Ambassador, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, received Hon. Saboto Caesar Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and his Advisor Philemon Allen on May 24th, at the headquarters of the diplomatic mission.

During the talks the Vincentian Minister thanked Cuba for the technical assistance given last year, 2015, in the field of artificial insemination, as a result of which were born several dozen calves on Vincentian farms.
