New York, 27 March 2017. Cuba appreciated the tribute dedicated to the Fiftieth Anniversary of the conclusion of the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean (Treaty of Tlatelolco), held in UN headquarters.
Nairobi, March 25. Representatives of the Association of Kenyan Graduates in Cuba and of the Kenya-Cuba Friendship Society participated on Saturday 25 March at the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Nairobi in an activity of solidarity with the Caribbean Island.

This majestic temple was built from 2000 to 2005, without the use of steel, since its entire structure is based on centuries-old traditional methods of construction.

Copenhagen- The Danish-Cuban Friendship Association, in its annual Assembly held on Saturday, March 25, paid tribute to Fidel Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution. Its members also reaffirmed their solidarity with Cuba and their commitment to continue advocating for the lifting of the unfair blockade imposed to the Island. The plenary also approved a statement highlighting the Cuban government's offer of a thousand scholarships to study medicine to the Colombian government and FARC-EP, as a contribution to the peace process in Colombia.
The Cuban Embassy, in Gaborone, was the venue for the First National Meeting of Cuban Residents in Botswana, with the attendance of approximately 50 people, who live in that African country, whether in a permanent or temporal base, their children, spouses, and friends, who collectively agreed to constitute the Association of Cuban Residents in Botswana “Cuba – Botswana”, united on the will to respect and maintain alive their values, traditions and roots.
The Board of the Finnish-Cuba Friendship Association (AAFC) held its meeting to review the work done in 2016.
As main activities on 2016 stood out: Posthumous Homage to Commander Fidel Castro; Solidarity with Cuba of the Nordic Friendship Associations in Sweden; Brigade “Las Tunas”, voluntary work project on the maternal and child Hospital in province Las Tunas; 9th Edition of Cuban Culture Week; art exhibition TOCORORO and other activities carried out on 2016. Was reaffirmed the commitment of the organization to continue the solidarity work with Cuba.
Last March 25, 2017, the Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in Athens José Oriol Marrero Martínez, as Charge de affairs ai, attended to the celebration of Hellenic National Day. This celebration marks the indepedence of Greece from the Ottoman Empire, after 400 years of rule. It is also celebrated the Annunciation by Archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she should become the mother of Jesus Christ , the Son of God, according to Christian religion.
