The General Director of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mr. Phongsavanh Sisoulath, received today´s afternoon, the Ambassador of Cuba, Pablo A. Rodríguez Vidal.

The meeting dealt with bilateral issues between the two countries and relations between the Cuban Embassy and the ASEAN Department.

Officials of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Liberia, Chargé d'Affaires Yordenis Despaigne Vera and Second Secretary Carmen Maury Toledo cordially welcomed several representatives of the Liberian press at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy. The main purpose of the event was to celebrate Cuban Press Day, which took place last March 14, and to diversify Cuba 's ties with the society in that West African country.
