On April 6, delegates from the Lao People's Democratic Republic arrived in Manila, Philippines, to the 8th Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba. They are comrades Sounthone Sirisack and Thammalath Vilasdavong, Vice President and Executive Secretary respectively of the Lao-Cuba Friendship Association.

Cruises to Cuba on the rise

New arrivals of US cruise companies Pearl Seas, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruises took place during the first quarter of 2017 to Havana, which is in line with the projections of the development of such attractive activity in Cuba.
 
Today the US Norweigan Cruise announced it will add 33 round trip sailings to Cuba from Miami in 2018.
 
The newly announced cruises begin on March 26, 2018 and are in addition to the 30 cruises that Norwegian is running to Cuba in 2017.

Cuban Ambassador talks to the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Ghana

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro L. Despaigne González, during a cultural activity carried out in the residence of the Ambassador of France, held a pleasant conversation with Ms. Catherine Abelema Afeku, minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Ghana, as well as member of the Parliament.

The Minister was pleased with the meeting, keeping the bilateral relations in the field that she has the authority to be strengthened during her tenure.

April 5th,  H.E. Mrs Zelmys María Domiguez Cortina gave the Credential Letters that accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to H.E. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, President of the Hellenic Republic. During the meeting,  it was reaffirmed the will of both parts to continue developing the bilateral relations between the two countries and the historical and excellent relations of friendship that exist between the Cuban and the Greek peoples.

Cuban Ambassador talks with political leader of Ghana

The Ambassador of Cuba, Pedro L. Despaigne González held a cordial conversation with Mr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, who has been in the last two general elections the Progressive People´s Party's presidential candidate (PPP). The meeting took place during a cultural activity carried out in the residence of the Ambassador of France to Ghana. 

Mr. Paa Kwesi Nduom recalled his trip to Cuba – according to his words in 2004 - and the sites of interest he had the opportunity to visit. He also said the possibility to make another visit to Cuba in the medium term.
