On tour of Asian countries, the Vice President of the Council of Minister of Cuba

Cuba and Pakistan strengthen cultural relations
Islamabad, September 5, 2019. The ambassador of Cuba to Pakistan, Gabriel Tiel Capote, received today Mr. Jamal Shah, Director General of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). During the meeting, the senior Pakistani official expressed his intention to invite Cuba to participate in the cultural event “Islamabad Art Fest IAF-19” that, with different artistic manifestations, will take place in several cities of the country from November 18 to 30 this year, invitation welcomed.

Mr. Sohail Mahmood, who currently serves as High Commissioner of Pakistan in India, received the Ambassador of Cuba in Islamabad, Gabriel Tiel Capote, on a working visit to India. The foreign secretary thanked Cuba for the medical aid provided by the earthquake that struck Pakistan in 2005 and the granting of 1,000 scholarships to Pakistani students to study Medicine, while praising the figure of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
