The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in an activity organized by the solidarity group Toronto Forum on Cuba to commemorate the beginning of our wars of independence on October 10, 1868.
The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated, on October 10th and 11th, 2025, in the 1st Festival dedicated to the "trova" musical style held in Toronto, "Cuba sings and blossoms."
Organized by Nancy Quetzal and Ernesto Espinoza, the event featured the Cuban "trovadores" (troubadours) Raul Torres, Fidel Diaz Castro, and Erdwin Vichot, accompanied by a group of artists of different nationalities who joined together, armed with guitars, violins, saxophones, flutes, and poetry to represent the ultimate expression of Cubanness through music.

Responding to an invitation from Iranian friends of solidarity, the Cuban Embassy in Tehran participated in a massive march in Tehran and other major cities of the Persian nation to celebrate World Jerusalem (Al-Quds) Day.
SYRIA, May 12, 2017 .- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Syrian Arab Republic, Rogerio Santana Rodríguez, met this afternoon with the Secretary General of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), Nayef Hawatmeh, in the offices of this organization in Damascus.
During the meeting, Hawatmeh warned of US interference in the Middle East region. He noted that the next and first international tour of US President Donald Trump has the clear objective of increasing attempts to isolate the Palestinian movement.
On the occasion of the celebration of the 48th anniversary of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP, branch Denmark), which took place on Saturday, April 1, the Palestinian Ambassador to this European country, Dr. Muffed Shami, highlighted the historical solidarity provided Cuba has provided to his people, and in particular stressed the friendship and unconditional support given by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, to the Palestinian cause, to which he dedicated very moving words due to his death on November 25th last.
