Charge d'Affaires a. i. conveys condolences to the Nigerian government.

Nigeria, January 14, 2022.- The Counselor, Pavel Bauzá Fusté, Charge d'Affaires a. i. of the Cuban embassy in Nigeria signed, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country, the book of condolences for the death of Ernest Shonekan, former head of the Interim National Government.

The Ogun-born statesman was the head of the interim government that led Nigeria between the military governments of Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha, from August 26 to November 17, 1993.

Namibia, October 29th, 2021- With the presence of Sidenio Acosta, Ambassador of Cuba to Namibia, and other officials of the Diplomatic Mission, the change at the Economic and Commercial Office was made official, when Councillor Juan Carlos Oliva Núñez handed over his positon to Councillor Yamila Martínez Abreu.

Namibia, October 22, 2021- Yamila Martínez Abreu, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba, arrived in Namibia to assume the position of Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in this African country. Martínez Abreu will replace Juan Carlos Oliva Núñez, who has served in the position, with satisfactory results, for 5 years.

Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, called, once again, for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, in his speech at the General Debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
