Namibia, October 29th, 2021- With the presence of Sidenio Acosta, Ambassador of Cuba to Namibia, and other officials of the Diplomatic Mission, the change at the Economic and Commercial Office was made official, when Councillor Juan Carlos Oliva Núñez handed over his positon to Councillor Yamila Martínez Abreu.
Namibia, October 22, 2021- Yamila Martínez Abreu, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba, arrived in Namibia to assume the position of Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in this African country. Martínez Abreu will replace Juan Carlos Oliva Núñez, who has served in the position, with satisfactory results, for 5 years.
Namibia, September 23rd, 2021- H.E. Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, called, once again, for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, in his speech at the General Debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Monrovia, September 21, 2021 - The Cuban Head of Mission in the Republic of Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera received at the headquarters of our diplomatic mission in Monrovia, the Minister for American Affairs of the Liberian Foreign Ministry Honorable Maxwell P. Vah.
They had a timely and friendly exchange in which prevailed the interest of both parties in the periodic follow-up to multilateral and bilateral issues.
Namibia, September 9th, 2021- After two days of exchanges, Deborah Rivas, Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, and Hon. Ms. Jenelly Matundu, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, closed the V Session of the Joint Working Group Cuba - Namibia.

Jenelly Matundu, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of Namibia, inaugurated the V Session of the Cuba-Namibia Joint Working Group, which will meet virtually on September 8th and 9th, 2021.
Namibia, September 7th, 2021- Sidenio Acosta, Ambassador of Cuba to Namibia, and Ambassador Sabine Böhlke-Möller, General Director of Bilateral Affairs of the local Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation, held an organizational meeting prior to the V Session of the Joint Working Group Cuba - Namibia, which will be held virtually on September 8th and 9th. Both were accompanied by officials from the Cuban Embassy and the Namibian Foreign Ministry.
Namibia, August 31st, 2021- H. E. Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, condemned the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, within the framework of the courtesy call payed to the African president by Sidenio Acosta, Ambassador of Cuba in Namibia.
Namibia expresses solidarity and support with the people of Cuba in the defence for their Revolution.
Namibia, July 23rd, 2021 - The disorder and incidence of disruption that occurred in some localities in Cuba on the 11 July 2021 is of great concern. These disruptions are taking place at a very complex time when Cuba is faced with the 16 month long fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and prolonged economic blockade. Against this background, the Government of Republic of Namibia calls for an end to the economic and financial blockade imposed on Cuba over the years by successive US Administrations.
