Tribute to Fidel in Santa Lucia.
A tribute activity to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, on the occasion of the third anniversary of his physical disappearance took place yesterday at the residence of the Ambassador of Cuba in this country. The activity was organized by the Humanistic Association of Solidarity Cuba-Santa Lucia and was attended by more than 80 people, including members of the aforementioned organization, the Association of graduates in Cuba, representatives of different social sectors and the diplomatic corps.
Cuban Ambassador in Saint Lucia visits the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School
Teachers, Administrators and students of the Leon Hess Comprehensive Secondary School received the Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Lucia, Alejandro Simancas this past Monday, November 18th. The Cuban diplomat, together with Dr. Adrian Barquín, member of the Medical Brigade in this country, held a meeting with the group of students who are studying about the Spanish language, with whom he exchanged on the reality of Cuba, its history and geography. Afterwards, another group of students received a Conference by Dr.
Cuba strengthens Caribbean cooperation in the field of Customs
Cuba became the first country in the region to ratify the Convention establishing the Caribbean Customs Organization and on mutual administrative assistance in Customs matters. This step was formalized last Friday at the headquarters of the Caribbean Customs Law Enforcement Council located on the island of Saint Lucia. Albert Sandy, Permanent Secretary of this institution, received the instrument of ratification issued by the Republic of Cuba from the Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas.

The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Lucia, Alejandro Simancas, presented to the main media of this country the resolution, approved yesterday in the United Nations General Assembly, which calls for an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against the largest island of the Antilles.
Saint Lucia’s Victoria Hospital highlights work of Cuban specialists.
A group of Cuban health specialists working at the Victoria Hospital in Saint Lucia who will conclude their mission in the next few days were honored and bid farewell by the management of the Health Centre. The meeting was attended by Doctor Alisha Eugene, Medical Director of the Center and Nancy Charles, Executive Director, who had words of praise for the dedicated work and commitment shown.
