The Executive of the Saint Lucian Guild of Graduates of Cuba held a work meeting yesterday, February 27th, in which they analyzed the main actions and activities which will be carried out during the present year.

Cubans in Saint Lucia ratify their support for Venezuela

The collective of the Cuban State Mission in Saint Lucia, headed by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, has ratified their support for peace and their rejection to military intervention in the Bolivarian nation by joining the “hands out of Venezuela” campaign. The Cuban representatives in Saint Lucia were at the Embassy of Venezuela to express their solidarity with the Government and people of that country and to endorse the call to end the interference and imperialist plans of destabilization and aggression.

At a press conference, Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, president of the National Electoral Commission confirmed that the new Constitution was approved with 86.85% of the votes. In the referendum on February 24, six million 816 thousand 169 Cubans ratified the new Constitution of the Republic, 73.3% of the total of citizens registered. For the No voted 706 thousand 400 people, 7.7% of registered. Seven million 848 thousand went to the polls, 84.4% of the total of voters.

Cuba's State Mission in Saint Lucia carries out Constitutional Referendum 

The members of Cuba's State Mission in Saint Lucia made an appointment this past Saturday to vote in the Referendum for the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba.  The Cuban diplomats, led by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, together with the collaborators in the sectors of Health, Sports and Construction attended the Electoral College, from the early morning hours, organized at "Villa Apartments", where the majority of the collaborators reside, in order to exercise their right to vote and to show their commitment to their homeland.
