Cuba and Saint Lucia cooperate in the area of education
The Ministry of Education of Cuba (MINED) and the Department of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development of Saint Lucia today signed a Cooperation and Technical Assistance Agreement in the area of education. The Agreement was signed at the office of the Ministry in the city of Castries; by the Saint Lucian Minister in this field, Honorable Dr. Gale T. Rigobert while MINED was represented by the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas Marin.
Organization of Eastern Caribbean States pledges solidarity with victims of the tornado in Cuba

Castries, January 30, 2019.The Cuban State Mission in Saint Lucia, headed by Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, paid tribute to our National Hero on the 166th Anniversary of his birth. Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Lucia ratifies friendship towards Cuba
Castries, January 31, 2019. The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Lucia, Honorable Andy Daniel received the Ambassador of Cuba in this country, Alejandro Simancas Marin at his office in the House of Parliament. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of encouraging relations between the Parliaments of both countries, from the role of Parliamentary Forces in the boosting and development of bilateral relations.
Cuba and CDEMA sign Regional Collaboration Agreement on Early Warning Systems in the Caribbean
The Chief of Operations of the Main National State of Civil Defense, William Cedeño Centeno signed this Friday, a Collaboration Agreement with the Caribbean Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) for the continuity of Cuba’s work on subjects related to disaster risk management and the strengthening of Early Warning Systems in the region.
