Labor Party of Santa Lucia demands end of the blockade.
The Saint Lucia Labour Party held its annual conference at Stanley Jon Odlum High School, which was attended as a guest by the Ambassador of Cuba, Alejandro Simancas. During his speech the leader of this political force Philip J Pierre expressed his solidarity with Cuba and called for the removal of the trade embargo on Cuba and the immediate cessation of all economic and political sanctions contemplated or imposed on the people of Cuba by the United States government.
XIII Scientific Conference of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia
In the early hours of September 21st, 2019, the XIII Scientific Day of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia was inaugurated. Twenty-six research assignments (papers) were presented, 11 free topics between lectures and case presentations and 15 posters; some of the presentations are related to work results, others with experience during missions and other topics at the end.
Prime Minister of Saint Lucia at the UN expresses his solidarity with Cuba
The Honourable Allen M. Chastanet, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia and Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation, Foreign Affairs and the Public Service addressed the UN General Assembly on Friday 27th September. In his address, the Honourable Prime Minister expressed his country’s solidarity with the Cuban people and questioned the continued application of the embargo by the United States against the largest island of the Antilles.
CDR Anniversary is celebrated in Saint Lucia
The new anniversary of the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution was celebrated in Saint Lucia by members of the Cuban State Mission in this country. Collaborators from the different spheres of service in this sister nation, together with Ambassador Alejandro Simancas, met to honor that date and to highlight the work of this institution throughout the 60 years of the Cuban revolution. The activity featured the traditional stew prepared by Cuban Collaborators.
Friends of Saint Lucia reaffirm their support for Cuba
The members of the new Executive Committee of the Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia – Cuba) held their first meeting last Friday 27th September. During the meeting, headed by the President of the Association, Marlene Alexander, the program of work for the last quarter of the year was discussed and agreed upon, during which the Association intends to develop actions of solidarity with Cuba and to contribute to a better knowledge and relationship between the two countries in the different fields.
