Cuban Son practice has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity
Singapore, December 31, 2025. The practice of the Cuban Son was included on December 10th in the representative list of UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a recognition of this expression of the culture and identity of the Cuban people.
With this decision, notified at the 20th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of UNESCO's Intangible Heritage, in New Delhi, the commitment of the Cuban Government to the protection of the traditions that represent the roots of the Caribbean nation is also highlighted.
Cuba will host International Anti-Racist Conference in 2026
Havana, December 29, 2025. The Ministry of Culture and the National Program against Racism and Discrimination convened this Sunday the International Conference on Anti-Racist Thoughts and Actions, which will be held in October 2026. The event will bring together professionals from the sciences, arts and politics; to governments, social movements and non-governmental organizations in Havana and the province of Artemisa, from the 11th to the 13th of that month.

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, proposed this Thursday, December 18, in the National Assembly of People's Power, to call 2026 the Year of the Centennial of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
The proposal, approved unanimously, constitutes a tribute to the leader and a ratification of the unity of his ideas in the Cuban Revolution.
Cuba and Singapore strengthen their cooperation in civil aeronautics sector
Singapore, December 20, 2025. The Cuban ambassador in Singapore, Lisbet Quesada Luna, was received by the director of air transport of the Civil Aeronautics Authority of Singapore, Mr. Sidney Koh, at the Institution's headquarters.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged on the existing potential to strengthen the existing bilateral collaboration in this important sector.
Cuban Ambassador Participates in Diplomatic Christmas Concert for Peace at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in Singapore
SINGAPORE, December 7, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador to Singapore, Lisbet Quesada Luna, participated in the emblematic Diplomatic Christmas Concert, organized annually by the Choir of the Cathedral of Christ the Risen, directed by its founder and director, Sir Peter Low, at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd in the City-State.
Choral music lovers, diplomats, and people of all ages gathered to listen to more than 60 songs and carols sung in 35 languages. Cuba was represented by a Cuban lullaby in the style of a 20th-century Havana song.
