Cuba and Singapore strengthen parliamentary friendship

The Executive Order of May 1st and the blockade measures announced today further increase the harm to the Cuban Population and reinforce the threat of aggression.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects, in the strongest possible terms, the Executive Order issued by the White House on May 1st, 2026, which tightens, to unprecedented and extreme levels, the economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.
Human Rights Council Approves Resolution Presented by Cuba in Defense of the Right to Food and on Cultural Rights
Geneva, March 30, 2026 – The Human Rights Council, at its 61st session, adopted the resolution presented by Cuba in defense of the right to food. The resolution condemns the use of food as a weapon of political or economic coercion and calls on States to refrain from applying unilateral measures that endanger the food security of other countries.
In presenting the resolution, Cuba denounced the inhumane and illegal blockade imposed by the United States, which severely affects the right to food of the entire Cuban people.

On the morning of February 25, 2026, a violating speedboat was detected within Cuban territorial waters. The vessel, registered in Florida, United States, with registration number FL7726SH, approached up to 1 nautical mile northeast of the El Pino channel, in Cayo Falcones, Corralillo municipality, Villa Clara province.
