South Africa organizes massive caravan against the blockade of Cuba for on Sunday 20 June
Pretoria, June 20, 2021.- Multiple South African organizations are immersed in the organization of a massive motorcade, which will tour the streets of the city of Pretoria next Sunday, June 20, to demand the end of the criminal blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba.
As part of the event, the organizations participating in the caravan have prepared a document rejecting the blockade, which they will deliver to the United States Embassy in South Africa.
Cuba and Lesotho celebrate the 42 anniversary of their diplomatic relations
Pretoria, June 14, 2021.- Cuba and Lesotho celebrate today the 42 anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
Since the formalization of the ties in 1979, bilateral relations have been permanently strengthened. The bilateral cooperation agreements signed cover various spheres, including health, education, sports and academic training, and are implemented with positive results, on the basis of friendship, cooperation and solidarity.
Cuba and South Africa sign intergovernmental agreement for cultural cooperation and exchange
Pretoria June 10, 2021.- As part of the celebrations of the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Africa and Cuba, the South African Minister of Sport, Art and Culture Hon. Nkosinathi “Nathi” Mthetwa and the Cuban Ambassador to South Africa, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, signed today an important Intergovernmental Agreement for Cooperation and Cultural Exchange between both countries
Cuba participates in change of command of the National Defense Forces of South Africa
Pretoria, June 7, 2021.- Cuba participated as a Special Guest Country in the ceremony and military parade on the occasion of the change of command of the South African National Defense Forces, events that were chaired by the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the South African Armed Forces, Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson exchanged on the day with the outgoing Chief, General Solly Shoke, who went into retirement after an outstanding job, for more than 10 years, at the head of the country's armed forces.
