Ceremony to welcome the Cuban experts to the South African Water Sector

Pretoria, April 22, 2021.- Representatives of the Department of Water and Sanitation of the Republic of South Africa (DWS) and the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources of the Republic of Cuba (INRH) met virtually today, as part of the formal ceremony to welcome the Cuban Experts to the South African Water sector.

The meeting was Co-chaired by Hon. Lindiwe Sisulu, Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation of South Africa and Cde. Antonio Rodríguez Rodríguez, President of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources of Cuba.

Cuba and South Africa strengthen their cooperation in Education 

Pretoria, April 14, 2021.- Cuban Ambassador Rodolfo Benítez Verson held a fruitful meeting with representatives of the South African Department of Basic Education, led by the Deputy Director General, Ms. Simone Geyer, Ms. Hleki Mabunda and Ms. Nomsa Shabangu, Director and Deputy Director of International Relations, respectively, and Mr. Seliki Tlhabane, Chief Curriculum Director, accompanied by other officials of the Department.

Gestures of solidarity make a difference in difficult times

On March 27 and 28, tens of thousands of people from around the world raised their voices to reject the unjust and criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba for more than 60 years.

Under the slogan "Bridges of Love", Cuban emigrants, personalities and solidarity, political and union organizations in the 5 continents, carried out public demonstrations on foot and in caravans of cars, motorcycles and bicycles.

Cuba and South Africa review cooperation on Public Works in Limpopo

Pretoria, April 2, 2021.- The head of the Cuban brigade of public works specialists deployed in South Africa, Pedro Pérez Leyva and the Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Pretoria, Dianelis Forestal Mejías, made a fruitful working visit to the Limpopo province, in which they held conversations with Namane Dickson Masemola, MEC of Public Works and other senior representatives of that Department in Limpopo.
