Cuban ambassador with Sri Lankan delegation to Cuba to participate in the May Day celebration
Colombo, April 24, 2024. At the Cuban diplomatic mission in Colombo, the Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido held a meeting with the Sri Lankan delegation that will participate in the celebration activities in Cuba for the May 1st, International Workers' Day.
After a few years of absence, Sri Lanka will once again be present along with the rest of the foreign delegations in the activities that will be held in Cuba, on the occasion of May 1.
Ambassador of Cuba in Sri Lanka participated in the Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival
Colombo, April 20, 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido participated in the 2024 Sinhala and Tamil New Year Celebration Festival, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At this cultural celebration the host was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honorable M.U.M Ali Sabri, whom he had the opportunity to greet. Ms. Aruni Wijewardane, Secretary of the Foreign Ministry, along with other directors and officials, members of the diplomatic corps and honorary consuls, also participated in the festival.
Meeting of the Cuban ambassador in SriLanka with directors of Yaden Laboratories
Colombo, April 18, 2024. The Cuban ambassador to Sri Lanka Andrés Marcelo González Garrido held a meeting at the Cuban diplomatic mission in Colombo with Shashimal Dissanayake, Executive Manager of Yaden Laboratories and Dr. Tharindu D. Durage, International Market Manager .
During the meeting, aspects related to the existing relations between Yaden Laboratories and Cuban institutions were discussed.

Washington, April 16, 2024 - On April 16, 2024, representatives of Cuba and the United States held bilateral migration talks in Washington DC.
Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez headed the Cuban delegation and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Eric Jacobstein led the U.S. delegation.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the implementation of the bilateral Migration Agreements, whose texts set forth the mutual commitment to guarantee regular, safe and orderly migration.
