UN experts qualify the blockade as a violation of human rights
The U.S. blockade against Cuba has been qualified as a serious violation of International Law. This was made known by the special rapporteurs of the United Nations Human Rights Council on the Right to Food, the Right to Development, Extreme Poverty and the Negative Impact of Unilateral Coercive Measures on the Enjoyment of Human Rights.

Cuba convenes Int’l Forum on Indigenous Cultures
The Havana-based Casa de las Americas is convening the 6th International Colloquium of Studies on Native Cultures of the Americas in Cuba, scheduled from October 15 to 18, 2024.
The cultural institution stated that the forum will be dedicated to counter-hegemonic alternatives from the viewpoint of sciences and indigenous knowledge.
