Cuban President congratulates Foreign Ministry on its 60th anniversary
Havana, December 23, 2019. Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today congratulated workers and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Minrex) on the 60th anniversary of the creation of that agency.
"Congratulations to our worthy diplomats, the workers of #CubaMinrex and the Cuban people for building, making, defending and exalting our foreign policy on the 60th anniversary of MINREX," the president posted on Twitter.
Sri Lankan Graduate Association in Cuba paid tribute to the Commander in Chief
SRI LANKA, December 15, 2019. - The Sri Lankan Association of Graduates in Cuba paid emotional tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the occasion of the third anniversary of his death. Ambassador of Cuba called on the new Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka
SRI LANKA, December 12, 2019. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, called on the new Foreign Minister of the Socialist Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka, Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena.
During the meeting, held today at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both parties highlighted the historical relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Sri Lanka, as well as exchanged on various issues of bilateral interest.

As was stated in the Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba on August 29, 2019, the government of the United States has deployed, as from last year, an intensive and defamatory campaign against the medical cooperation offered by Cuba, which adds to the threats of sanctions against Cuban leaders and pressures exerted on recipient States to make them dispense with said cooperation.
