Cuba and Maldives sign Memorandum of Understanding in health sector
In the context of the 72nd Assembly of the World Health Organization, in Geneva, the Minister of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba, Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda, and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Maldives, Mr. Abdulla Ameen, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which reflects the interest of both parties to strengthen bilateral relations of cooperation in the health sector.
Both Ministers exchanged about the next steps to be taken in order to implement the MOU signed during this bilateral meeting.
Minister of Plantations Industries receives the Ambassador of Cuba
SRI LANKA, May 15, 2019. - The Honorable Navin Dissanayake, Member of Parliament and Minister of Plantations Industries of Sri Lanka, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Ramos Rodríguez, at the headquarters of that Ministry.
During the meeting, both sides debated extensively on the possibilities of expanding collaboration between Cuba and Sri Lanka, particularly in the areas of cultivation and production of coconut and sugarcane. They also reiterated the historic relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

SRI LANKA, May 8, 2019. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, signed on behalf of the Cuban people and government, the book of condolences opened at the Embassy of Vietnam for the demise of the former president, Le Duc Anh.
A great friend of Cuba, he visited our country in October 1995 and was received by the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz.
