President of Maldives receives the Cuban Ambassador
MALDIVAS, January 23, 2019. - The Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, paid a courtesy call on the President of Maldives, His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, at the President’s Office.
During the meeting, the President expressed his sincere gratitude for the assistance Cuba has given to the Maldives, especially in the health sector. He also expressed interest in strengthening relations between the two countries and was interested in increasing scholarship opportunities for Maldivian students to complete their higher education in Cuban institutions.
