Message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of Africa Day
This year we commemorate Africa Day in Cuba under exceptional conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This, however, will not prevent that such a relevant event as the foundation on May 25, 1963 of the Organization of African Unity (OAU), renamed African Union (AU) in 2002 be celebrated as we Cuban always do.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka receives the Ambassador of Cuba
Sri Lanka, May 12, 2020. - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, at the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.
Both sides exchanged on various issues of bilateral and international interest, as well as on the containment measures of COVID-19 adopted by Sri Lanka and Cuba, as well as future strategies for bilateral cooperation. Minister Gunawardena conveyed his appreciation to Cuba for the support provided to Sri Lanka during COVID-19.
Cuba denounces continuity of US blockade despite Covid - 19
Havana, May 5 (Prensa Latina).- The Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez, said on Monday that the US blockade against Cuba continues, and so does solidarity with this Caribbean country.
On Twitter, the Foreign Minister denounced that the international demand to end Washington's economic, commercial and financial siege against Cuba is growing, as are the unilateral coercive measures against the peoples.
