My country, he told him, confirms the deep gratitude of our Government and people, to the Government and the people of Cuba, which, despite the difficult conditions it is going through, has found the way to continue supporting us in our development.
"Saint Kitts and Nevis was the last CARICOM country to obtain its independence, we are the smallest in the Caribbean Community, but we are not afraid to publicly support Cuba and its people," Minister of Foreign Affairs Denzil Douglas emphasized to the Cuban Vice President.
There is only one Cuba
With this announcement, the US government intends to address only one sector of our population. The coercive measure that most affect Cuba’s economy and public services and severely harm the wellbeing of our population are neither eradicated nor modified.
The Government of the United States has been explicit in its intention to use this sector for political purposes against the Revolution, in the interest of its change of regime policy.

The alternative for our countries can no longer be based on old formulas. The only viable solution lies in the rethinking of the unjust and unequal international economic order and the current bases that define North-South relations and life on the planet.
St. Kitts and Nevis Friendship Association Statement
The Saint Kitts and Nevis - Cuba Friendship Association reiterates its demand that the United States government remove Cuba from that unjust list, which has a negative impact on the Cuban people. Likewise, we ask for the immediate end of the genocidal blockade imposed on Cuba.

The Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health of this Federation, Curtis Martin, recently appointed to the position, received a visit by the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, this morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health.
The meeting held in an affable mood, was favorable for the formal presentations by both parties, as well as for the approach to issues of common interest, with emphasis on cooperation in this sector and the performance of the Cuban Medical Brigade that works here.
