Cuba in St. Kitts and Nevis

A march for the honor and dignity of the country.

More than 500,000 Cubans from the capital, representing the entire country, marched this Friday along the Havana boardwalk in front of the US Embassy. The Cuban people took to the streets to raise their voices against the blockade imposed by the US government. The Havana seawall was once again filled with Cubans fighting for their rights and for a sovereign country with unwavering principles, despite the difficulties.

Cuban delegation participated in the 13th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management

This Friday concluded in Saint Kitts the 13th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM 13), in which a large delegation from Cuba participated, headed by First Colonel Luis Angel Macareño Véliz, second head of the National State of Civil Defence. Under the slogan "Road to Resilience - Control Point 2024: Levelling up for a dynamic future", this event took place for five days at the Marriott Hotel of this Federation.

Cubans in Saint Kitts and Nevis pays tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 8th anniversary of his physical loss.

Different initiatives were developed by those present. Fragments of writings dedicated to Fidel were read and were projected audiovisuals that reflect not only the ideas and thoughts of the beloved Commander, but also the validity that they retain despite the time that has passed. Emphasis was placed on the need to continue studying Fidel, his work, his ideas, as the only alternative to the continuity of the Cuban Revolution.

The Cooperation between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba strengthens with the incorporation of the first UNECA S.A. brigade in the country.

This weekend, four professionals in the construction sector arrived in Basseterre and will form the first brigade of the Union of Companies CARIBE S.A (UNECA S.A.) in this Caribbean nation. Three civil engineers and an architect, are the cooperants who have just joined the Cuban state mission in the Federation. These, accompanied by the Ambassador of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, were received by the Minister of Public Infrastructure, Konris Maynard, the Permanent Secretary of that ministry, Daryll Lloyd, as well as by other managers and officials of the Department of Public Works.
