Message in the Global Call for the Summit of the Future
The future to which we aspire was traced decades ago and does not look good at all if we are guided by the signs of this present, increasingly unequal and exclusive, that the voracious neoliberal version of capitalism has imposed on a global scale as an expression of the undemocratic unipolarity that came with the collapse of the socialist alternative with the interventionist apogee of NATO. The Summit of the Future is called to address in a direct and holistic way the structural, systemic, moral, and political failures that have prevented us from achieving the goals set out in its Pact.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, David Rivero Pérez, held a working meeting with the Senior Foreign Service Officer Mr. Michael Penny, Director of Legal and Security Affairs of the Foreign Ministry in Basseterre, who is temporarily replacing the Permanent Secretary of this Ministry. During the cordial meeting, issues of common interest were addressed, while the Ambassador offered an update on the effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on Cuba for the last 62 years. It is a deliberate act of economic warfare, which has been reinforced by the arbitrary inclusion of the Antillean nation on the State Department's unilateral list of alleged countries sponsoring terrorism.
