Cuban Ambassador delivers lecture on Cuba–Saint Vincent and the Grenadines bilateral relations to Vincentian students
Kingstown, May 29, 2026. — The Ambassador of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, delivered a presentation on the history and development of bilateral relations between the two countries to students from the Intermediate High School and Saint Martin’s Secondary School.
During the exchange, the diplomat addressed various topics related to the more than three decades of diplomatic ties between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, highlighting the benefits both peoples have gained through joint cooperation projects and a relationship characterized by friendship, solidarity, and mutual respect.
ECASA delegation pays working visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Kingstown, May 28, 2026. — A Cuban delegation headed by the Director of Investments and Aerodromes of the Cuban Airports and Airport Services Company (ECASA), Engineer Yesneyn Basso Pérez, paid a working visit to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines with the aim of following up on matters of common interest in the fields of airport management and civil aviation.
The Cuban delegation was received by the Chief Executive Officer of the Argyle International Airport, Josette Greaves, in an atmosphere of cordiality and cooperation.

Kingstown, May 28, 2026. — Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations through a commemorative ceremony held at the Kingstown Financial Complex, in an atmosphere of fraternity, friendship, and solidarity.
As part of the activities organized to mark this important occasion, a Cuban flag-raising ceremony was held as a symbol of the historic bonds of brotherhood and cooperation that have united both countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992.
The activity was attended by the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Honorable Dr. Godwin Friday; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, Honorable Fitzgerald Bramble; and the Ambassador of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Echeverry.
National Labour Congress of St. Vincent and the Grenadines expresses solidarity with Cuba amid new U.S. measures
Kingstown, May 20, 2026. — The National Labour Congress of St. Vincent and the Grenadines expressed its firm solidarity with the people and Government of Cuba in response to the recent escalation of measures imposed by the United States, which have been internationally described as a tightening of the energy blockade against the island.
In a letter addressed to the Embassy of Cuba in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the President of the National Labour Congress, Elroy Boucher, expressed deep concern over the executive order issued on January 29, 2026, by the U.S. Government, declaring Cuba an “unusual and extraordinary threat” and authorizing tariffs on countries supplying oil to the Caribbean nation.

In its unrelenting war of economic and political aggression, the White House issued a new Executive Order on May 1st, designed to intensify and tighten the economic and financial embargo against Cuba. The new executive order seeks to increase economic pressure on Cuba by targeting areas such as energy, mining, finance, transportation and companies linked to the Cuban state.
