In the spirit of the Ordinary Jubilee of the Year 2025, the Cuban Government releases persons who are serving prison sentences.

As part of the close and fluid relations with the Vatican, the Government of Cuba has remained in touch with Pope Francis and his representatives and, as has occurred in the past, has kept His Holiness informed about the processes of review of the convictions and the release on imprisoned person, a practice that is common in our judicial system and has characterized the humanitarian record of the Revolution.

The United States takes steps in the right direction, but the blockade remains in force.

On January 14, 2025, the government of the United States announced the following decisions:

1. Remove Cuba from the State Department list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;

2. Make use of the presidential faculty to prevent US courts from taking action with regards to lawsuits that might be filed by 

Cuban Embassy in Saint Vincent participates in book launch on the history of the Caribbean.

Kingstown, December 19 2024. The Cuban Embassy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was present at the launch of the book "The Story of Paulene Bramble", by the prominent Vincentian lawyer, writer and diplomat Dr. Richard Byron-Cox.

The book, is a journey that tells an intimate story of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from 1800 to 1939 and recreates much of the economy, society, religion, family life and much more, through the lives of its characters, crystallized in its main protagonist, Paulene Bramble.

We, the Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) gathered in Caracas, Venezuela, on December 14, 2024, within the framework of the twentieth anniversary of the founding of ALBA-TCP:

Cuba and SVG follow up on a project of collaboration in the field of tourism.

Kingstown, 4 December 2024. - The Cuban ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, received Ms. Annette Mark, CEO of the National Tourism Authority in this country, and her team, where details about the start of a join project in this important area for both nations were reviewed.

The project is based on the MOU signed in 2023 between the two countries tourism ministries and foresees that a group of Cuban specialists will arrive in St. Vincent in the coming months, with the aim of implementing a technical mission to train skills in areas such as bar services, massage therapy, food and beverage services, etc.

Both Cuba and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, maintain a great bet in the tourism sector, which exploits not only the beauty of its natural landscapes, but also the cultural richness of its heritage and the hospitality of its people.
