Deputy Prime Minister receives Ambassador of Cuba.

Kingstown, April 22, 2024. - Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Honourable Montgomery Daniel, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, as part of the process of the Cuban diplomat´s presentation to the Vincentian authorities.

The friendly meeting reaffirmed the excellent political and cooperation ties that exist between the two nations and the possibilities to continue expanding them.

The Deputy Prime Minister recalled with affection the two visits of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to St. Vincent, the first one in 2022 and the most recent one, in March of this year, when he attended the VIII Summit of CELAC.

Cuban Ambassador paid a courtesy call to the Minister of National Mobilization, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Youth, Housing and Informal Human Settlements.

 

Kingstown, April 18, 2024. - Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, paid a courtesy call to the Minister of National Mobilization, Social Development, Family, Gender Affairs, Youth, Housing and Informal Human Settlements, H.E. Mr. Praying Brewster.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to increase bilateral cooperation, especially in the area of Special Education, in which a joint project is promoted, with the support of the Ministries of Education of Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Ambassador of Cuba participates in Nice Radio program.

 

Kingstown, 17 April 2024. - Cuban Ambassador to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry paid a courtesy call to Mr. Douglas Defreitas, director of Nice Radio 101.31 FM and took part in a radio program in which he briefly greeted the radio listeners of the popular station.

The Cuban diplomat expressed that it is a great honour to represent Cuba in this sister Caribbean nation with which there are historic ties of friendship and cooperation in areas such as Health and Education, and assured that he intends and will continue to create spaces for increasing the bilateral collaboration in all possible areas.

Cuban Ambassador exchanges with editor of Searchlight newspaper.

Kingstown, April 17, 2024. – The editor of the Vincentian newspaper Searchlight, Mrs. Corletha Ollivierre, visited this morning the Embassy of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and was received by the Ambassador Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.

During the exchange several topics related to Cuba, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the regional and global situation were addressed. The Ambassador gave details about the current situation in Cuba and highlighted elements linked to the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against our people.
