"We will continue to denounce the embargo against Cuba": Cuban ambassador in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Kingstown, 30 August 2024. - The Cuban ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, reiterated that Cuba will continue to denounce permanently the unjust US embargo in all possible spaces.
In an interview with the National Broadcasting Corporation Radio (NBC Radio), Rodríguez Etcheverry stated that Cuba is going through one of the worst economic crises in its history, mainly due to the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the US government. He also thanked the unconditional support of the Vincentian government and people in this struggle.
Cuban linesmen Brigade arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Kingstown, 26 August 2024. - A Cuban linesmen Brigade arrived in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to support the recovery efforts of Hurricane Beryl impact, which significantly affected several of the islands of this country, on July 1st.
The Brigade was received by the Minister of Urban Development, Energy, Administration and Development of Maritime Ports, Grenadines Affairs and Local Government, the Honourable Benarva Browne, and the Ambassador of Cuba, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry..
UNE collaborators arrive in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Kingstown, 14 August 2024. - Three Cuban engineers from the Electric Union of Cuba (UNE) system arrived this morning at Argyle International Airport, in St. Vincent and Grenadines, where they were received by the head of the Generation Division of VINLEC (Electricity Company of this country), Mr. Rohan Robertson and the Cuban ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
The arrival of the engineers opens a new stage of collaboration in this field, which is achieved after the agreement reached between VINLEC and the Cuban Electrical Engineering Services Company SA (SIECSA), entity in charge of providing comprehensive and specialized technical services abroad and in Cuba to foreign entities related to the energy industry.

Kingstown, July 31, 2024 - The farewell ceremony for Vincentian students, recipients of medical and mechanical engineering scholarships, awarded by the Cuban state, was the setting for a warm tribute of remembrance to Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
The event, held at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy, was attended by the Honourable St. Claire Prince, Minister of Health, Welfare and the Environment and representatives of the Service Commission of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines who, together with the students, their families and the Cuban diplomatic staff, highlighted the role of Fidel in the creation of the Program for the Training of Doctors from Third Countries in Cuba
New Vincentian foreign minister reiterates unconditional support to Cuba.
Kingstown, 24 July 2024 - The new minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Honourable Frederick Stephenson, received the ambassador of Cuba to this nation, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
During the friendly meeting, both sides highlighted the excellent relations of brotherhood, cooperation and solidarity between both peoples and governments, and the permanent determination to continue to strengthen them in all possible areas.
The Minister reiterated that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will continue to support Cuba in its struggle for the lifting of the US embargo, and expressed that Cuba must be removed immediately from the arbitrary list of states that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
The Cuban diplomat congratulated the Minister on his appointment and wished him success in his new duties.
