Kingstown, 23 September 2024. The staff of the Cuban mission in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines visited the headquarters of the National Public Library, Archives and Documentation Services of this sister nation and was received by its principal directors.

Ms. Michelle King-Campbell, director of the institution, gave an explanation on the history and development of the St. Vincent library and archive system and invited the diplomats to make a tour for its different areas.

The library service of the St Vincent and the Grenadines branch dates back to 1907, when the first off-district service was established in the city of Georgetown.

Nearly 600 parliamentarians from 73 countries call on the US to take Cuba off the “state-sponsor of terrorism” list

Nearly 600 parliamentarians from 73 countries across the globe have written a joint letter, coordinated and published by the Progressive International (PI), condemning Cuba’s designation by the United States as a “state-sponsor of terrorism” as “cynical, cruel, and a clear violation of international law”.

In the letter, published today, Friday 20 September, the legislators call on their respective governments to “take immediate action to advocate for [the designation’s] removal.”

Cuba-SVG cooperation project on sustainable development in progress.

Kingstown, 16 September 2024. - A bilateral cooperation project between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the area of sustainable development and environmental conservation was recently launched in this country, with the participation of Cuban and Vincentian experts.

Kingstown, September 9, 2024. - The founder and editor of iWitness News, Mr. Kenton Chance, was received by the Cuban ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, at the headquarters of the Cuban mission in this country.

The ambassador and the journalist exchanged views on the US economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba, the St. Vincent-Cuba bilateral relations, the current situation of Cuba, as well as other issues of regional and international importance. Cuban dance academy opens in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Kingstown, September 6, 2024 - The Cuban dance academy "Santelices Studio" was officially inaugurated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with the attendance of members of the Cuban community, authorities from the Department of Culture of the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development and Culture and members of the Cuban and Venezuelan embassies.
