Cuban Linesmen’s Brigade concludes its work in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Kingstown, 25 November 2024. - The Cuban Linesmen’s Brigade, which since August 26 worked in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to support the recovery efforts after the impact of Hurricane Beryl, returned to their homeland in the morning hours of this Monday.
The work of the linesmen was widely recognized during a farewell event attended by the Prime Minister, Dr. Ralph Gonsalves; the Minister of Urban Development, Energy, Administration and Development of Seaports,
SVG-Cuba Friendship Society delivers donation to the Cuban people.
Kingstown, 18 November 2024. The Ambassador of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, thanked today the noble gesture of solidarity of the SVG-Cuba Friendship Society, which delivered a much appreciated cash donation to help the Cuban people in their recovery process after the impact of hurricanes Oscar and Rafael.
The donation has a great symbolic value and confirms once again that the Vincentian friends will always be with Cuba in any circumstances.
Cuba not alone as UN General Assembly votes to end US blockade for 32nd year

The St. Vincent Times | Kingstown | November 1, 2024 - On 30 October 2024, the General Assembly of the United Nations met once again to consider the item on its agenda “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba.”
By an overwhelming majority of 187 votes in favour, 2 against (the US and Israel) and one abstention (Moldova), the resolution calling on the US to end the blockade on the Caribbean island was adopted for the thirty-second consecutive time.

Ambassador of Cuba receives Head of the Public Service Union of SVG.
Kingstown, 15 October 2024. - The head of the Public Service Union of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Elroy Boucher, was received by Ambassador Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry at the headquarters of the Cuban mission in this country.
Boucher, who was accompanied by Nyorkia Cupid, responsible for the youth branch, exchanged with the Cuban diplomat on several issues, like the history and structure of this union, which is one of the largest in the country, as well as about other Vincentian union forces and the possibilities to foster alliances with the Cuban working class.
The ambassador gave details about the Workers' Central Union of Cuba (CTC) and its 19 sectoral unions, their main activities and congresses and the historic parades on the occasion of the International Workers' Day, annually held at the Revolution Square of Havana.
