Cuban Ambassador paids a working visit to Bequia Island.

 Kingstown, May 14, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, paid a working visit to Bequia, the second most populated and economically important island of this brother country.

 The Ambassador was received by the highest authority of the island, Mr. Carlos Williams, deputy director for Grenadine Affairs, with whom he discussed matters related to bilateral cooperation in the fields of sports and electrical engineering.

 The Cuban diplomat visited a group of compatriots residents  on the island, with whom he exchanged about the current situation in Cuba, the national culture and the importance of representing the homeland with dignity and pride wherever one might be.

 The Head of Mission´s program also included an emotional meeting with Vincentian graduates in Cuba of Bachelor's degrees in Sociology and Nursing...

Cuban Ambassador holds working meeting with Permanent Secretary of Transport and Works.

Kingstown, May 7, 2024 - Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Works of this country, Ms. Lavern Grant held a working meeting this morning.

The occasion provided an opportunity to discuss issues related to the current state of bilateral collaboration. Ms. Grant acknowledged the work done by the UNECA engineer brigade that works on Vincentian soil and the Ambassador expressed his desire to expand his membership.

In Saint Vincent and the Grenadines operates the largest UNECA engineer brigade in the Caribbean and given the development and expansion of the construction sector in this country, there are conditions for the Brigade to continue growing

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health receives Cuban Ambassador.

Kingstown, 7 May 2024 - The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Environment of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Mr. Cuthbert Knights received the ambassador of Cuba to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry and the head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dr. Ulises Castillo Sanz.

During the meeting both parties reviewed the issues associated with the work of the Brigade, its living conditions and evaluated elements linked to the updating of the bilateral agreement between the two nations on health.

Ambassador of Cuba visits the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Kingstown, May 3, 2024. The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines visited the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of this nation and was received by its Executive Director, Anthony Regisford.

During the meeting, the parties analyzed the possibilities of promoting bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade and business.

The Cuban Ambassador offered an overview of the investment possibilities in the Mariel Special Development Zone and invited Vincentian  companies to attend the Havana International Fair, whose 40th edition will be held at the end of 2024.

Mr. Regisford commented on the international exhibition fair that will take place in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines... 

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports receives the Cuban Ambassador.

Kingstown, May 2, 2024. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Mr. RAYMOND Ryan, received this morning the Cuban ambassador to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.

The Cuban diplomat expressed that it is time for both countries to resume cooperation relations in the field of sports, where there are many potentials in various disciplines such as soccer, athletics, volleyball and basketball, very popular sports in this Caribbean nation.

The Permanent Secretary pointed out that it would be very positive for both countries to work together in these specialties and recognized the prestige of Cuban coaches in the international arena.

Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines maintain active and growing ties of cooperation in the areas of health and construction...
