Commissioner of Police receives Cuban Ambassador.
Kingstown, 22 April 2024. - The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Commissioner of Police, Mr. Enville Williams, received the new Ambassador of Cuba to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry.
The Commissioner explained to the Ambassador the work that his team does, aimed at preserving the security and internal order of the nation and offered all the guarantees for the security and physical integrity of the Cuban diplomatic personnel and the headquarters of the Embassy.
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is the only law enforcement agency in this country, which is responsible for the protection of life and property and the maintenance of law and order throughout the national territory
Ambassador of Cuba visits the headquarters of the Ministry of Urban Development and Energy.
Kingstown, April 22, 2024 - The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Urban Development, Energy, Seaports, Grenadine Affairs and Local Government and was received by the Minister, Honorable Benarva Browne.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the cooperation project underway in the area of Energy, regarding the upcoming arrival of 5 Cuban engineers, who will work with the electricity company of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines / VINLEC.
They also expressed their willingness to explore ways to develop joint programmes aimed at promoting sustainable energy and reducing dependence on diesel consumption
Minister of Agriculture exchanges with Ambassador of Cuba.
Kingstown, April 22, 2024. - Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Agriculture, Honorable Saboto Caesar, who is also in charge of the portfolios of Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labor Affairs.
The focus of the discussion was on increasing bilateral cooperation in the areas of agriculture and fisheries, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and an Agreement are already signed and are aimed at promoting several joint projects that will benefit both peoples.
Deputy Prime Minister receives Ambassador of Cuba.
Kingstown, April 22, 2024. - Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Honourable Montgomery Daniel, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, as part of the process of the Cuban diplomat´s presentation to the Vincentian authorities.
The friendly meeting reaffirmed the excellent political and cooperation ties that exist between the two nations and the possibilities to continue expanding them.
The Deputy Prime Minister recalled with affection the two visits of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez to St. Vincent, the first one in 2022 and the most recent one, in March of this year, when he attended the VIII Summit of CELAC.
