Washington, April 16, 2024 - On April 16, 2024, representatives of Cuba and the United States held bilateral migration talks in Washington DC.
Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez headed the Cuban delegation and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Eric Jacobstein led the U.S. delegation.

Five years have passed since the kidnapping in Kenya, on April 12, 2019, of Doctors Assel Herrera Correa and Landy Rodríguez Hernández, Cuban physicians who were serving in that country as part of an intergovernmental cooperation agreement in which they were voluntarily participating.

We thank the Pro Tempore Presidency of Honduras for the timely convening of this meeting. We also support the convening of a Summit Meeting of Presidents and Prime Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States later this week.

Association of Spouses of Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand (ASOMFA) Hosts the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) Group
The Association of Spouses of Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand (ASOMFA) received the Group of Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) in this country, among whom was Niurka de la O Mojena, Consul of the Cuban Embassy.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange experiences and cultures and marked the beginning of a collaboration program between the two associations.
