Cuba Open to Have Respectful Relations with the US

On two occasions on Friday President Miguel Diaz-Canel stressed that Cuba is open to establish respectful relations with the US, saying that Cubans have no animosity against the American people.Diaz-Canel conveyed Havana’s stance both in his closing speech at the year’s last session of Parliament and at a rally in front of the US Embassy before a massive march that passed by the diplomatic headquarters in demand of the end of the economic blockade and the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

Cuban Ambassador visited the Institute of Science, Innovation and Culture (ISIC) in Bangkok

At the invitation of its director, Mr. Yaoping Liu, Ambassador Pedro Pablo San Jorge accompanied by Niurka de la O, Cuban Consul, visited the Institute of Science, Innovation and Culture (ISIC) in Bangkok.

The visit focused on the willingness to establish collaborations between ISIC and Cuban universities and institutions including joint medical programmes, exchange of students and professors as well as academic research.
