Cuba pays tribute to the victims of the attack against Venezuela in Türkiye

The Cuban Ambassador to Türkiye, Alejandro Díaz Palacios, signed the book of condolences opened at the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in posthumous tribute to the victims of the cowardly military aggression by the United States against that sister nation, which culminated in the kidnapping of the Constitutional President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife.

A delegation from the Communist Party of Türkiye (TKP) and the Türkiye-Cuba Friendship Association “José Martí” visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Cuba in Istanbul to convey their deepest condolences to the Cuban people and government following the loss of 32 Cubans who died in combat during the illegal military operation carried out by the United States in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on January 3, 2026, whose objective was to kidnap the constitutional president of that sister nation, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and his wife.

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Türkiye received a condolence visit from Nahide Özkan, President of the José Martí Cuba–Türkiye Friendship Association, accompanied by members of the association’s board of directors, who came to convey their deepest sympathies for the loss in combat of 32 Cuban citizens, victims of the attack carried out by the United States against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Commemorate in Türkiye the 67th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, the centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and in solidarity with Venezuela

The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Türkiye commemorated the 67th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, a foundational event that took place on January 1, 1959, and which irreversibly marked the history of Cuba and of the peoples of the world, opening the path to a profoundly humanist, sovereign, and solidarity-based project, led by the historic leadership of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz and Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.
