Representative of Cuba to the United Nations rejects manipulation of the fight against terrorism by the United States

Ambassador Ana Silvia Rodríguez Abascal, Deputy Permanent Representative and Chargé d´Affaires a.i. of Cuba to the United Nations participated today in the debate of Agenda Item 114 “Measures to eliminate international terrorism” of the Sixth Committee of the United Nations.

The most recent example was the imposition of a hefty fine on the US travel insurance company Generali Global Assistance, Inc. (GGA) by the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Human Rights in Cuba: Access to health for all the people
New York, 6 October 2020. Cuba has a unique, free of charge and accessible health system, based on primary health care, which guarantees universal coverage and access to all Cubans without discrimination on grounds of sex, economic status, skin color, religious belief or political affiliation.
The right to health is enshrined in the Cuban Constitution.
AOSIS and G-77 denounce unilateral coercive measures at the Second Committee of the United Nations
New York, 5 October 2020. On 5 October, the Second Committee of the United Nations started its working sessions related to the 75th session of the General Assembly, with statements against the application and use of unilateral coercive economic measures, as a means of coercion and political pressure against developing countries.
