New York, October 24, 2017. From April 2016 to date, the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba has continued to be enforced. This policy has a strong extraterritorial component that adversely affects the actions of Cuban companies with their counterparts in third countries. Here are some examples:

New York, October 23, 2017. The right to development in Cuba is limited by the negative impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States. Sectors such as biotechnology, tourism, mining, renewable energies, telecommunications, among others, have suffered considerable loss due to this unjust and illegal policy.

Representatives of civil society organizations, with the support of regional and international organizations based in Cuba, of social actors and organizations, religious, fraternal and national institutions, gathered for the 14th Forum of Civil Society Organizations against the Blockade, have agreed:
1. To condemn unequivocally the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States of America against the Cuban people.
