Cuba in UN

Statement by the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez on behalf of the G77 at the Summit on the Sustainable Development Goals

The lack of progress must not be attributed to a lack of solutions. Actions are there. What it is urgently required is political will to really “leave no one behind” and overcome one of the most complex crises humanity has seen in the modern history. That would be our best contribution to the common future we need to build together.

President Díaz-Canel pays tribute to Malcolm X

In a emotional ceremony, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel paid tribute to Malcolm X, outstanding activist for civil rights and human rights in the United States.  The ceremony took place at the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center, in New York City.

Cuba, a sustained commitment to all human rights for all

Despite the ceaseless imposition of a harsh blockade during more than 60 years, that was even strengthened during the pandemic, the important advances of Cuba in health, education, scientific research, culture and sports as well as in the genuine participation of our people in the main political processes that determine the life of the nation, are widely acknowledged.
