2022 Havana Clasica Festival starts in Cuba
Havana, 5 November 2022. The 4th edition of the 2022 Habana Clasica Festival, one of the most significant events of its kind in Cuba, started in this capital on Saturday until November 20 with the participation of 50 musicians from Europe and North America.
The gala will consist of a concert at the Basilica of the San Francisco de Asis Convent in Old Havana at 18:00 hours, local time, by Cuban instrumentalists Niurka Gonzalez (flute) and Lissy Abreu (violin), and pianists Marcos Madrigal and Aldo Lopez-Gavilan.
Overwhelming support for Cuba at UN against the US blockade
United Nations, 3 November 2021. Cuba scored a new victory on Thursday in its struggle against the United States blockade by achieving overwhelming support at the United Nations (UN) for a resolution passed by 185 votes in favor.
The resolution was only opposed by the United States and its staunched ally Israel, while Brazil and Ukraine abstained.

Cuban Foreign Minister blames the U.S. for irregular migration
Havana, 30 October 2022. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez reiterated that the United States government is responsible for the causes that stimulate irregular emigration from the island and human trafficking.
The Foreign Minister pointed out via Twitter that the acceptance of ‘those who arrive, the Cuban Adjustment Act and the economic blockade encourage irregular migration and those who profit from trafficking’.
