Cuba's outstanding participation in the Under-14 World Chess Championship
We proudly congratulate WFM Liennys Ferrer, a Cuban resident in the United Arab Emirates, for her outstanding participation in the U-14 World Chess Championship in Florianópolis, Brazil, where she obtained 7 points out of 11 possible, adding 5 wins, 4 draws and 2 losses.
She ranked 15th and was the best ranked player on the American continent.
Her outstanding performance allowed her to add 32 points to her personal ELO.

One Night in Havana, the tour of the Buena Vista All Stars and their historic presentation in Dubai
The emblematic group Buena Vista All Stars is on an international tour under the name “One Night in Havana.” Their presentation on October 4 at the Dubai Opera, in the United Arab Emirates, was very well received by an international audience, lovers of Cuban culture and knowledgeable about its traditional repertoire.

These actions have led to a dangerous escalation, further undermining regional stability and security, and provoking a response from Iran.
Meeting with the community of Cubans living in the United Arab Emirates
The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the United Arab Emirates was once again the venue for the meeting with the community of Cubans living in the Arab nation. This was the third time that our compatriots, accompanied by their families, met to share their love for their homeland and their culture.

Mr. Secretary General;
I dedicate these first words to ratify Cuba’s solidarity and support to the brotherly people of Palestine, victim of more than 75 years of colonial occupation, flagrant violations to their legitimate rights as a nation, submitted to cruelty, aggressions, collective punishments and apartheid.
It is an unacceptable tragedy, plain for all to see; it’s a wound in human consciousness.
