Ambassador of Cuba holds a meeting with the Secretary General of the Federation of United Arab Emirates Chambers of Commerce and Industry
On November 8, 2020, HE. Roberto Blanco Domínguez, Ambassador of Cuba to the United Arab Emirates, held a pleasant and successful work meeting with HE. Humaid Ben Salem, Secretary General of the Federation of United Arab Emirates Chambers of Commerce and Industry. During the meeting, both parties expressed their satisfaction of the good relations of friendship and brotherhood between the governments, peoples and the respective Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and the United Arab Emirates.
Cuba adheres to the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation in Southeast Asia

Measures imposed by US Government against FINCIMEX harm the Cuban people.
The inclusion of Fincimex in the list of restricted entities of the US State Department in June last, as well as the Treasury Department’s modifications to the regulations for the control of Cuban assets announced on Friday, October 23, will prevent remittances to Cuba through US companies with general licenses, which will directly harm the Cuban people and their relatives in the US.
Doing so in the middle of a pandemic corroborates the US government’s cynicism, opportunism and contempt for the Cuban people.
Cuba elected to the United Nations Human Rights Council for the fifth time
Cuba has been elected as member of the United Nations Human Rights Council, a body made up by 47 member States responsible for the promotion and protection of all human rights in the world. Cuba, a founding member of the Council that abolished the former Human Rights Commission, is holding, for the fifth time, one seat among the eight reserved for the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States.
