Cuba adopts new measures to contain the increase in COVID-19 cases

From January 10, 2021, it will be mandatory for all travelers arriving in Cuba from abroad the presentation of the results of a PCR-RT test for SARS Cov-2 from a certified laboratory in the country of origin. The test must be carried out in a period of 72 hours before arrival in Cuba, without prejudice to the sanitary and hygienic measures implemented in the Cuban borders.

Roberto Blanco Domínguez, Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates held a cordial meeting with His Excellency AbdulRahman Bin Mohamed Al Owais, Emirati Minister of Health and Prevention. During the fraternal meeting, the desire of expanding bilateral cooperation in the health field, where there is great potential, was once again highlighted. Both parties identified the sectors that they are mostly interested in, not only in the healthcare area but also the biopharmaceutical sector, in which Cuba accumulates extensive experience.

Roberto Blanco Domínguez, Cuban Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, held a cordial meeting with Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of UAE. The meeting confirmed the high level of bilateral relations. They discussed current cooperation projects between the two countries and the potential to expand them. Both parties reaffirmed the will to strengthen economic and commercial ties and investments.
