Announcement-International Congress 'Comunidad 2023'

The National Council of the Houses of Culture promotes the International Congress 'Comunidad 2023', which will be held from 14 to 16 October this year, at the at the Fidel Castro Ruz Center and in those community spaces that define new achievements in social transformation and local development, on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the System of the Houses of Culture in Cuba and the 130th anniversary of the Houses of the People in Italy.

Cossío to Newsweek: US policy towards Cuba is "unfair, unjustified and asymmetrical"

Newsweek published today an interview offered by the Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Fernández de Cossío in which he addresses issues of the bilateral relationship.

In the media report, the Deputy Foreign Minister stated that President Joe Biden can immediately take at least four measures to improve the lives of Cubans without having to rely on Congress or face a significant backlash in the elections.

US authorities return 15 irregular migrants to the country

A total of 15 irregular migrants (14 men and one minor) who had participated in two illegal departures from the country by sea were returned to Cuba this Saturday, September 30, through the port of Orozco, Bahía Honda, Artemisa.

With this operation, there are 106 returns with 4,357 irregular migrants so far in 2023, by air and sea.

The Cuban authorities remain firmly committed to safe and orderly migration, while reiterating the danger and life-threatening conditions represented by illegal departures from the country by sea and the involvement of minors.
