Zimbabwean students will study university degrees in Cuba

The Cuban Embassy in Zimbabwe welcomed the ceremony for the signing of the university transcripts of the Zimbabwean students Tavonga Mukhachana and Mduduzi Keith Gumbo, who will soon travel to the Caribbean island. The event was chaired by the Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramírez Rodríguez, and the Counsellor, Yoisy Ford García and the mother of one of the students were also present.

Cuba and Zimbabwe reaffirm interest in revitalizing trade ties

The Ambassador of Cuba in Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramírez Rodríguez, hold a meeting with the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nzenza Sekai Irene. The Zimbabwean Minister has criticized the sanctions imposed on both countries by the Western powers and ratified the interest of its government in boosting trade ties with Cuba, in areas of common interest.

Zimbabwean Minister of Primary-Secondary Education and Non-Formal Education highlights quality of Cuba's education system

The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramírez, held a fraternal meeting with the Minister of Primary-Secondary Education and Non-Formal Education, Cain Mathema. The Zimbabwean Minister highlighted the strength of the Cuban education system and ratified his country's willingness to increase cooperation in this area.

On the other side, the Cuban Ambassador thanked Zimbabwe for the recognition of the education system of the Caribbean island and gave him an invitation letter to participate in the 2021 Pedagogy Congress, which will take place virtually from February 1 to 3, 2021, with the slogan "Meeting for the Unity of Educators".

Zimbabwe-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group supports nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize for the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade

The members of the Zimbabwe-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, led by its President, Senator Chen Chimutenwengde, met with the Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Carmelina Ramirez. Legislators and senators ratified their solidarity with Cuba, rejected the policy of economic sanctions applied by the United States and expressed support for the nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize for the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade.
