Governor General and Prime Minister of Grenada attend reception for the 66th anniversary of the Revolution and the 172nd anniversary of the birth of José Martí.

St George, January 28. The reception for the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution and the 172nd anniversary of the birth of José Martí took place at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Grenada.

The night was rainy but full of commitment from all the friends of Cuba who graced the celebration. The president of the Graduates Committee, Dr. Malachy Dottin, led the event, which began with the presentation of a floral offering to José Martí by the Governor General of Grenada, Dame Cecile le Grenade.

President of the Senate and Speaker of the Parliament of Granada visit Cuba.

St George, January 26th. The Ambassador of Cuba in Granada Ivette Martínez bid farewell to the president of the Senate, Honorable Dessima Williams and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Honorable Leo Catto who are traveling to Havana to participate in the VI Conference for World Balance.

The United States takes steps in the right direction, but the blockade remains in force.

Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba

On January 14, 2025, the government of the United States announced the following decisions:

1. Remove Cuba from the State Department list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;

2. Make use of the presidential faculty to prevent US courts from taking action with regards to lawsuits that might be filed by virtue of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act; and

In the spirit of the Ordinary Jubilee of the Year 2025, the Cuban Government releases persons who are serving prison sentences.

As part of the close and fluid relations with the Vatican, the Government of Cuba has remained in touch with Pope Francis and his representatives and, as has occurred in the past, has kept His Holiness informed about the processes of review of the convictions and the release on imprisoned person, a practice that is common in our judicial system and has characterized the humanitarian record of the Revolution.

Prime Minister of Granada congratulates the Cuban Government and people on the 66th Anniversary of the Revolution.

St George January 7 - The Prime Minister of Grenada Honorable Dickon Mitchell sent a congratulatory message to President Miguel Díaz Canel on the occasion of the 66th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.  His words were in recognition of the firm position that the Cuban Government and people have maintained in the face of innumerable challenges and international solidarity with countries that need medical assistance.
