Strong rejection of new slanderous campaign by the State Department

Cuba rejects, in the strongest terms, the report published on July 20th by the United States Department of State, concerning the alleged subversive influence of Cuba against that country. It is a mediocre propaganda pamphlet. It aims to bolster the mendacious message that Cuba poses a threat to the United States, a pretext that the U.S. government uses for collective punishment and genocide against the Cuban people. It seeks, through the construction of accusatory narratives, to fabricate a consensus for a potential military aggression.

A “Perspectives on the Current Cuban Crisis: Facts, Impact and Imperatives” forum held at the UWI

Kingston, 25 June 2026. The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus, hosted the forum ‘Perspectives on the current Cuban crisis: facts, impact and imperatives’ this morning. The event was organised by the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Sir Hilary Beckles, and was attended by the Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Tania López Larroque.

During her opening remarks, the Cuban diplomat provided an update on the devastating effects of the sanctions imposed by the US administration, as well as the measures adopted by the Cuban government to mitigate them.

Cubans and Jamaicans pay tribute to Maceo and Che.

Kingston, 14 June 2026. Representatives from the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, the Association of Cuban Residents, the Solidarity Movement and graduates from our country gathered in front of the bust of the Bronze Titan in the Park of Jamaican Heroes to pay tribute to two ‘sons of June and of the Revolution’: Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara de la Serna.

Minister of Water, Environment and Climate Change of Jamaica receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

Kingston, 11 June 2026. The Honourable Matthew Samuda, Minister of Water, Environment and Climate Change of Jamaica, received the Ambassador of Cuba, Tania López Larroque.

During the meeting, both parties acknowledged the climate challenges facing both countries, as well as the potential for increasing bilateral cooperation on environmental matters, natural disaster prevention and protection, and the efficient management and use of water resources.
