A large delegation made up by representatives from the most diverse sectors of the Jamaican society, including politicians, parliamentarians, academics, leaders of social and intellectual movements, traveled to Havana, Cuba, to participate in the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity for Democracy, and against Neoliberalism to be held in this capital from 1st to 3rd November.

JAMPRO President announces participation of Jamaican companies in the International Fair of Havana

Diane Edwards, President of the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), an agency dealing with the promotion of trade and investment in Jamaica, announced the participation of several Jamaican companies in the International Fair of Havana, to be held in the Cuban capital from November 4 to 8.

Kingston, Jamaica, 30 October 2019. Diane Edwards, President of the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), an agency dealing with the promotion of trade and investment in Jamaica, announced the participation of several Jamaican companies in the  International Fair of Havana, to be held in the Cuban capital from November 4 to 8.

Edwards also referred to the ongoing bilateral commercial actions taken by the two countries, and acknowledged the significant potentials of both markets.

Jamaican parlamentarian reiterates her opposition to the blockade

Dr. Angela Brown-Burke, a member of the Chamber of Representatives of the Parliament of Jamaica, expressed her opposition to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States on Cuba for almost six decades.

Kingston, Jamaica, 26 October 2019. "Nothing can stop the pedagogical legacy that we defend with loyalty and commitment", so stated Cuban teachers during a solemn ceremony held at the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica.

New teachers recalled important moments in Cuban history and referred to the humanist, internationalist and ethical vocation that has characterizefd, for decades, the work of Cuban collaborators in the most remote places on the planet.

With the projection of the Cuban film Inocencia, Cubans residing in Jamaica, members of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission and other guests celebrated the Day of Cuban Culture.
