The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Saint Mary exchanges with the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica

As part of the program of activities developed in the parish of Saint Mary, the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, met with Fredrick Young, President of the Chamber of Commerce of that town; as well as with leaders of the Parish Development Committee and other representatives of the business community.

Saint Mary, Jamaica, 14 November 2019. As part of the program of activities developed in the parish of Saint Mary, the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E. Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, met with Fredrick Young, President of the Chamber of Commerce of that town; as well as with leaders of the Parish Development Committee and other representatives of the business community.

Young referred to the historical links between Cuba and Jamaica and highlighted the results of the bilateral co-operation received by the latter in sectors like health and education.

A Jamaican delegation participates in FIHAV

William James Charles Hutchinson, Minister without portfolio of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica leads the delegation of his country participating in the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV) 2019, which will take place in the Cuban capital from 4 to 8 November.

William James Charles Hutchinson, Minister without portfolio of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries of Jamaica leads the delegation of his country participating in the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV) 2019, which will take place in the Cuban capital from 4 to 8 November.

The Jamaican minister is accompanied by executives and officials from the Agency for the Promotion of Trade and Investment of Jamaica (JAMPRO) and representatives of companies of the Caribbean nation.

Kingston, Jamaica, 3 November 2019. Christina Williams, President of the Student Guild at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus, paid a courtesy call on the Cuban Ambassador to Jamaica, H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández.

During the cordial meeting, the student leader made a brief presentation on the work carried out by the organization she chairs.

Along with the Cuban diplomat, Williams assesed possible areas of future exchange between the Embassy and students from this Higher Education institution.

The Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, José Ramón Machado Ventura, received a delegation from the People's National Party (PNP) of Jamaica, who traveled to the Greatest Island of the Antilles to attend the Anti-Imperialist Meeting of Solidarity, for Democracy and Against Neoliberalism.
