The commercial, economic and financial blockade of the Government of the United States against the Republic of Cuba began on October 19, 1960, less than two years after the triumph of the Revolution. On February 7, 1962 it was extended to include virtually all commercial relations.

This is the most complete, systematic and long-standing blockade against any country in the history of mankind.

11th National Conference: a new stage for the Cuban community in Jamaica

More than fifty Cubans from different parishes in the country gathered on Sunday afternoon on the top floor of the clinic owned by Dr. Brooks to celebrate their 11th National Conference.
