During the exchange, the Cuban Ambassador thanked the Attorney General for the presentation to the Jamaican Parliament, last October, of a motion condemning the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba, an initiative that the Jamaican Parliament has signed for ten consecutive years.

At the meeting with the Jamaican Minister, several topics of common interest were discussed, such as the project to build the Regional School of Arts of the Caribbean in Jamaica, an initiative developed during the Fifth Cuba-CARICOM Summit, held in Havana on December 8, 2014.

Representatives of the Government of Jamaica, the Parliament, the political parties, the diplomatic and consular corps, international organizations, the academic sector, the solidarity movement and the Cuban community residing in the country were present in the event.
